SKYDIVING COMPETITIONS

19 FAI/IPC events mapped + FIPS National Championships. From 4-way FS to wingsuit performance, canopy piloting to indoor dynamic.

System structure

Three levels: national, continental, world

Competitive skydiving is structured in three tiers. (1) FIPS — Italian Sport Parachuting Federation — runs the Italian National Championships, typically summer, rotating across Italian DZs. (2) FAI IPC — International Parachuting Commission — defines each discipline's technical rules and runs biennial World Championships + intermediate European Championships. (3) DZ-level: camps, regional cups, competitive boogies are the entry point.

Italy is traditionally strong in 4-way FS, canopy piloting, and growing in freefly and wingsuit performance. Italian 4-way teams regularly compete at Worlds and European Championships. See FIPS (fips.it) for current calendar and national selection procedures.
