DROPZONE WEATHER

Skydiving-specific forecast for every ENAC Italian dropzone. 4-model ensemble (ICON-EU + ECMWF + AROME France HD + GFS) for the next 24h, 7-day outlook, hourly go/no-go verdict. Decide before you drive.

Recomputed every 30 min · Open-Meteo · 4-model ensemble
Score computed over operating hours 08:00–19:00 of tomorrow (7 May).

⚠️ The forecast never replaces the jumpmaster's briefing. ICON-EU + AROME + ECMWF + GFS are high-resolution models, but on complex orography (Alps, Adriatic coast) they may miss reality by a factor. Always verify with the dropzone before driving over.

Legend · jumpability score
70+
Jumpable 70–100
Comfortable operating conditions, including for students and tandems.
40+
Borderline 40–69
On the edge — tight wind or cloud. Often no students; sport jumpers with caution.
0+
No-go 0–39
Extreme wind, gusts, storms, cloud below exit, or visibility below threshold.
Why does a yellow score in this list become red on the detail page? The list shows a 36-hour daylight-weighted average (08:00–19:00). A DZ can be yellow (e.g. 50/100) even when the first hour in its detail page is 0/100 and the following ones are 90/100. Open the DZ detail to see hour-by-hour where the jumpable window is.
The score combines surface wind, gusts, upper-level wind, cloud vs DZ exit altitude, CAPE (storms), rain in the next 2 hours and visibility. Operational thresholds, not meteorological. How the models work ↗
